Never a dull moment. (WARNING~Mega Picture Overload!)

These kids are non stop!!!  They don't have an off button until bedtime.  I swear I forgot what it was like having  smaller kids around all the time.

Easter was sooo much fun this year.  The innocence of childhood is such a blessing! It was so much fun to watch them do the bunny's scavenger hunt for their baskets, decorating eggs, and a fabulous family dinner.  I love Easter!!

We also took the kids on a fabulous trip to Calgary.  We took them to a Calgary Flames game.  And to the zoo!!  Our hosts were great!  The kids loved meeting their Aunts and Uncles that weekend.  The highlight....when Uncle Patch showed up to surprise Star A!!  He drove over 10 hours and overnight just to surprise her.  It was AMAZING to watch!  She cried, he cried, I cried, Auntie J cried...... And the little 2 couldn't figure out what all the fuss was because they had not meet him before.

Besides all this....family suppers out, movies, sleepovers, playgrounds, and tons of play time.  Our bigger family is definitely a great one!  I can't imagine our lives any other way.  The kids are following the "adjustment" to our family just like the textbook.  I swear its a good thing we took our parenting classes, otherwise we wouldn't have been prepared.  We've gone through the honeymoon phase, and now the testing the limits phase.  Hopefully that means things will level out shortly.  The bonus.  Even if they are bad, and go to bed early....the next morning they get up, tell us they love us and vise versa, and the new day starts.

Busy busy fun!

I am horrible at doing this blogging as often as I should.  I wanted to be doing it once a week, or at the least, every 2 weeks.  And its turned into monthly.  So, I ask a favor of everyone following this blog.  If I am getting behind, and you want to know what is happening...please ask me to update this site!!

Much has been happening, and its all good!  We've been doing tons of family stuff.  Going to the museum, going on a road trip, staying in a hotel and swimming until we looked liked raisins, science center trip, and most recently, the zoo!  The kids have really adjusted well to life in our family.  Each day it gets a little bit easier.  Even with the constant reminders that they are only 4 and 6. (They definitely like to test the limits.)  Although they do listen much better to the rules now than they did a month ago.

The kids have got to meet a lot of family, and even more friends.  They love all the attention...lol

Instead of boring you with stories, I am going to share tons of pictures this time!! Hope you don't mind.

With one of their cousins at the museum.

The next 10 are from today March 26/12 at the Zoo.

Very busy!!! Learning, Loving and Having a Blast!!

Sooo much has been going on since the last update.  And I must appologize for taking so long.  I feel like I am missing so much by not blogging it!  I really have to learn to do it more often!

Where to start.....

The kids are really settled in.  It honestly feels like they have always been here.  Just like any other family, its great 99.9% of the time.  I can't begin to imagine how hard the entire process is on Star J and Star R.  Their entire world has been flipped upside down. The second they get a time out, or we talk to them about rules....they ask for their foster mom.  (She is one amazing woman!)  We let the kids know that when we have settled the issue, and they are no longer upset, they can always call her.  We want them to know that we are here to solve the problems with them.  And she is there for confirmation...lol.  Example...they got busted jumping on the couch....we dealt with it....they talked to Mama C later in the day, told her what happened...and she talked to them about it as well and told them not to do it.  She is an amazing support to all of our family in this process.

I feel so fortunate every day, and every night. Both kids have bonded with their dad and I a lot quicker than we ever thought possible.  Star R says "Mom, guess what...I love you! You're the greatest"  "Dad...I love you!" And Star J will hold our faces, or hug us tight and say..."I love you for ever and ever and ever and ever..." Some people say its honeymoon phase.  We think...we just got blessed with some amazing children!  All 3 of our kids are phenominal!  Star A is the most amazing big sister I could ever have imagined her being.  The little 2 just thrive when she is in the room.  And Star A loves that they need her as much as they do.  She was concerned that she wouldn't be a good enough big sister.  Well, she is better than I ever prayed she would be.  She does love that they go to bed before her so she gets some quality time alone with her dad and I.  We make sure she knows how much we love her as well.

We have been quite busy with family outings. A whole lot of swimming, the playground, the library, playgroups, family fun centres, etc. And the best is days like today...tons of snow...and tossing the kids out the door so it wasn't so loud in the house...lol. It gets quite loud when there is a snow day...and suddenly 5 children at my house! Hubby thinks I'm insane to even be willing to have that many alllll day. Normally....Star A, and Star R go to school....and Star J and I get mommy-daughter time. We do tea parties with the dolls, manicures, hair design, story time at the library, playgroups, craft time...etc. The preK program at our school was full, so I have to find things to do that will keep her busy. If anyone wants to join us for tea time....let me know and I will unlock the door!

Lastly...I have soooo many pictures from the last 2 weeks. At least 200. Here are a few of my favorites!
